ChAI: Normalizing Flows

Himani Varolia is a dedicated Research Scholar in the CSE department at IIIT, Delhi, working under the guidance of Dr Debarka Sengupta. Her research primarily focuses on the integration of deep learning and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the energy domain. With a BTech and MTech in Signal processing and digital design from DTU, New Delhi, Himani has a strong educational foundation.
Driven by her passion, Himani has been actively involved in various research projects, covering diverse areas such as medical image analysis and intelligent energy management systems. Currently, her primary research involves anomaly detection in time series data related to the energy domain. Additionally, she has recently worked on an innovative project involving IoT-enabled mask-mouth identification, which has been filed for an Indian patent. Her previous research experiences also include participating in the CSIR-SRTP, where she focused on the detection of Covid-19 in chest X-ray images.
Beyond her research pursuits, Himani has contributed to the academic community by evaluating and judging competitions like the Smart India Hackathon 2022 and Toycathon 2021. These experiences have facilitated her interactions with industries and expanded her network. With three years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor, Himani has honed her skills in sharing knowledge and guiding students.
Her dedication to research, extensive academic background, and diverse experiences position her as a promising researcher in the intersection of deep learning, IoT, and the energy domain.
