Significance of Work:
Our work presents MORPHOGEN, a large-scale benchmark to evaluate how multilingual language models handle gender transformations in French, Arabic, and Hindi. By requiring models to rewrite first-person sentences in the opposite gender while preserving meaning and structure, we reveal key limitations and provide a foundation for developing more accurate and inclusive language technologies.
